Fun Times at the Summerville Farmers Market
The Summerville Farmers Market is always a social and fun time. Local residents will walk or drive their golf carts up to the parking lot behind the Summerville Town Hall every Saturday from April to December. While I confess there have been times I’ve just run up there for my weekly vegetables, my favorite way to spend the Saturday morning is to walk the mile from my home and eat breakfast from one of the vendors. It never fails we see people we know and get to visit and catch up. It’s also a fun place to people watch. You'll see young families with a wagon full of kids, retired couples hand in hand, and always lots of dogs.
In addition to the social aspect, of course there are a variety of local vendors. And the Summerville Farmers Market is NOT just vegetables! You’ll find organic meats, fresh caught seafood, homemade pastas, spices, honey and plenty of tempting deserts, all from local businesses. Additional vendors sell handmade soaps, pottery, beautiful plants for your garden and much more.
My favorite splurge almost every week is fresh cut flowers. Because they make me so happy throughout the week, I sometimes buy them just to give away. So any Saturday morning I hope to see you there. Come enjoy a good time and make the Farmers Market a Saturday family tradition.
